1. The Move Option

The Move option allows you to transfer stock between locations.  This is in effect the same as the Transfer option in the web-based version, but is a self-contained option within the App.

To access the option use the Move icon on the home screen.

Below the logo/title there is a field with the text: “Scan pallet label or location barcode”.  If the stock you want to move is palletised, this allows the system to identify either the pallet details or the location in which the pallet is stored.

It the stock is held in units it allows the system to identify the stock held in the location.  So to begin the Move process, scan the chosen option at this prompt.

Palletised Stock

If you opt to scan the (unique reference) pallet label, the system will display the heading “Transfer From” and show the details for the stock held on the pallet.  You can also enter the pallet number via the keyboard where it is not possible to scan.

Below that there is a field with the text “Move To” into which the barcode of the destination location can be scanned.  To complete the Move process, scan the barcode at this prompt.

         

The message “Transfer Processed Successfully” will be displayed.

If you opt to scan the location barcode, the system will display the heading “Transfer From” with the location number, and the details for the stock held on the pallet.  You can also enter the location reference via the keyboard where it is not possible to scan.  In the “Move To” field the destination location barcode can then be scanned or entered, as above, to complete the Move process.

NB It is not possible to move a part pallet quantity using this option.  If you need to do this it can be done using the ‘Split’ functionality within the web-based adjustments option.

Unit-held Stock

As the stock in this case is not palletised the only valid input is a location reference.  At the field with the text: “Scan pallet label or location barcode” therefore the location barcode can be scanned, or reference entered via the keyboard, as required.

Once scanned the system will display the heading “Transfer From” and show the details for the stock held in the location.

Below that is a field with the text “Quantity to transfer” and another with “Move to”.  Enter the quantity of units you want to transfer, then scan the location barcode or enter the reference in the “Move To” field to complete the Move process.

The message “Transfer Processed Successfully” will be displayed.

Using the Move option to complete a putaway movement.

The move option can be used to complete a scheduled pallet putaway movement. For more about this please refer to ‘The Putaway Process’ under ‘the ‘ProSKU App – Receipts’ section.

 

2. The Transfer option

The transfer option is accessed from the home screen ‘Schedules’ option, which presents the screen as shown below left.

         

Select the ‘Transfer’ option on screen to display scheduled transfer tasks. The number of available tasks under each heading is displayed to the right in brackets.

This option is used to access and perform scheduled (stock) transfers between locations.  These are tasks which have been created using the ProSKU WMS>Transfers option.
